About Me

Clinical Experiences and Approach

Originally from Baltimore, MD, I made Aliyah in July of 2023. I completed my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2019, where I completed a clinical internship at the Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders in Towson, MD. Following my graduation, I have continued to gain training and first-hand clinical experience in the field of eating disorders, working at the Residential, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient levels of care. I utilize a combination of evidence based therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT) while focusing on building a strong therapeutic alliance and centering the needs and autonomy of individuals as they pursue recovery. In addition to eating disorder work, I have a background in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma related disorders. I enjoy working with individuals 14+ of all genders to make positive change in their lives.

If you're new to therapy, you may be wondering how it works or why it can be helpful. Research shows that one of the biggest predictors of positive change from therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist. Finding someone who is a good fit for you can help you increase your willingness to dive in and explore topics that are difficult.

The initial stage of therapy will look like understanding what your goals are and building that bond with your therapist. Next, we'll work on understanding the emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that impact your symptoms and work on skills to help you manage these experiences more effectively. At their core, eating disorders are helping us to manage difficult emotions, and communicate to others that something is wrong. In order to heal from the eating disorder, we must learn different ways of achieving the same goal.

I encourage you to reach out to me to see if we would be a good fit. I offer free 15-minute consultations to all potential clients. I look forward to meeting you!
